Mount Nittany

I wanted to test out my Achilles tendon some more, and the weather forecast was for snow, so I hiked up Mount Nittany again.

I climbed up to the top and straight over to the Tussey vista like I did the week before, but this time I explored an unblazed trail en route. I followed it down a small 'bump' in the mountain a few hundred feet, and I didn't want to have to climb much further so I stopped. I suspect that it goes all the way to somebody's private property.

I took a few photos from this trip, and I took some GPS readings for the new sections of trail that were cut. I think the conservancy should really consider hardening the trail instead of re-routing it all the time. They are doing more damage by re-routing this heavily used trail. I also noticed that the sign for the Mike Lynch Vista was missing. Some people just don't get it.
