saturday and Sunday, March 4-5th
Mount Nittany's Southern Trail (white blazes)

This was the first real hike of 2000. Joe, Bear, Lori and Myself hiked up the hill and made camp on the Sounthern side of the mountain. This proved to be a very wind-free site, and I think it will be my camp area from now on.

After getting up in the morning and breaking down camp, we trekked along the white blazed trail for about a mile or two.

There isn't much scenery until a gully facing Boalsburg. This was actually quite cool, as there was a small stream making little waterfalls.

We trudged back up the gulley after walking down, descended the hill and drove off to MacDonald's . . .
